Why handover is not the finish line
For MCRE Group’s enterprise office in Shenzhen, Roky Design delivered interior design, construction, the signature indoor water feature, furniture and approvals on a single design-and-build contract. Natural stone, warm timber and living greenery were central to that design — and every one of those choices carries an upkeep requirement.
Planted spaces need a schedule
Living greenery is often what separates a warm office from a generic one. It also needs watering, feeding and replacement on a rhythm — not an occasional favour from whoever sits nearest.
